We are the Pipes & Drums of The Royal Caledonian Society

First established in 1894, the Pipes & Drums of the Royal Caledonian Society is a not-for-profit organisation located in Adelaide, South Australia. As the oldest civilian pipe band in the Southern Hemisphere, we foster the playing of Scottish music. We are proud to represent the Royal Caledonian Society and our passion for the pipes and drums always reflects in our engaging and energetic performances.

What we do

The Pipes & Drums of the Royal Caledonian Society has a wealth of experience performing at public and private engagements on a local, national and international stage. Previous notable engagements have included events in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Edinburgh (Scotland), Basel (Switzerland) and Windsor (England).

We are available to perform as a full band, mini band or soloist at any event including:

  • Concerts
  • Festivals and Tattoos
  • Street marches, parades and other public engagements
  • Private functions (e.g. birthdays, funerals, weddings, memorials and important occasions)
